Tapered Port Orford Cedar Shafts
$57.00
Description
Tapered Port Orford Cedar Shafts made and harvested in southern Oregon by Wapiti Archery POC from premium old growth logs. Cedar is known as the easiest wood to straighten, takes stain nicely, and is the best choice for building arrows. Our shafts will have grain that runs end to end, spined within 5 pounds, and grain weighed within 10 grains. Tapering the shaft (approx. 9″) allows the arrow to recover quickly and moves the center of gravity forward yielding better flight characteristic. The taper also reduces pressure on the bow greatly reducing feather wear and tear. All tapered shafts come nock tapered.
5/16″ shafts will make a maximum of 29″ BOP arrow and will require a 9/32″ nock, which we stock in Marco. 11/32″ and 23/64″ shafts will make a maximum 31 1/2″ BOP arrow and will require a 5/16″ nock, which we stock in Bohning and Marco.
Price is per dozen.
